Florida deputy Marcus Robinson, in 2007, made a name for himself when he went Grinch, but then wrote a senator some tickets.

Then he cited state Sen. Gary Siplin for refusing to obey traffic laws, and was not surprised to have the senator retaliate and threaten to have him fired. The sanator was also fighting unrelated felony conviction... not charges, conviction. Grand theft. A Florida elected official? Unheard of right? http://miamiherald.typepad.com/nakedpolitics/2007/08/whos-lying-gary.html

The Florida Ethics Commission notified him that probable cause was found in the ethics complaint he filed, and found the Senator guilty of asserting his position as a state senator to bully a deputy sheriff into permitting him access to a stadium parking lot through a barricaded roadway. "The panel voted 5-0 to send a report to the Senate suggesting the Orlando Democrat be censured, publicly reprimanded and ordered to get continuing education about the state's ethics code for public officials."

The senator appealed and got the case into a high enough court (5th district court of appeals) that they overthrew the ethics charge of corrupt public official charge. They know who not to piss off at that level.  http://caselaw.findlaw.com/fl-district-court-of-appeal/1557124.html

He may have been fired, as his Linked In profile  https://www.linkedin.com/pub/marc-robinson/44/765/984 shows that his jobs have been quite varied since 2007, as of Jan 2008 he was an instructor at a community college on criminal justice and then officiating weddings, to his present managers position of the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

But when he was a deputy in Orange County Florida, he was on camera as the Grinch, taking away drivers licenses. http://www.wftv.com/news/news/grinch-hands-out-208-tickets-to-orange-county-spee/nJncj/
